Reception Topics
Hamilton’s cross-curricular topics cover objectives across the national curriculum for England: history, geography, art & design, music, physical education (PE), computing, design & technology (D&T), English, maths and science and personal, social & heath education (PSHE). They are designed to engage children in active learning with meaningful outcomes. Use them throughout a term, or choose just one block on a particular aspect of a topic, or select sessions covering specific elements of a topic.
The topics below have been written for Reception. If you want to use any of these topics in a different Key Stage, you will need to consider how to adapt the outcomes, content, delivery methods, resources and differentiation, as well as the relevant National Curriculum objectives.
