Teacher Workload & Retention: Survey Results

Teacher retention is once more in the news, with the Education Select Committee calling for a long-term plan to deal with teacher retention and recruitment. Hamilton Trust recently ran a survey asking teachers what tasks they spent most time doing, whether they considered these tasks worthwhile and if they had considered leaving the profession due to pressures at work.

Changes to Year 2 Maths Plans

Hamilton have changed the structure of Year 2 maths planning to ensure that every part of the Y2 content is covered before the statutory assessments in late May. Thank you to the teachers who suggested this improvement. We hope all our teachers will be pleased that, now that the statutory assessment date is known, our plans enable you to teach to it.
