Objectives

Art

  • Use a range of materials creatively to design and make products.
  • Use painting to develop and share their ideas, experiences and imagination.
  • Develop a wide range of art and design techniques in using colour, pattern, texture, line, shape, form and space.

Lesson Planning

Use the watercolour paintings from Session 4 to create sea-storm collages.

Teaching Outcomes
 To create a collage from paper strips and other imagery, using scissors to carefully cut around elements within the collage.

Children will:

  • Create a collage of a sailing ship on a stormy sea.
  • Comment upon their own and others’ work.
