This is a humorous text which will entertain and stimulate. It is aimed at children who are just beginning to read and who will benefit from the repeated phrase.  Excellent for stimulating children’s writing.

Dear Dad 

This is a lovely text suitable for children who are beginning to read independently. It is based on a series of simple letters written by different children to family members and friends. Beautiful illustrations help the letters come alive and children will be motivated to write their own responses!

Crocodile 

This is a non-fiction text with an unusual structure.  It's simple language and narrative structure makes it exceptionally easy to read and the use of both wild life and zoo or safari park contexts means that many children can relate the information given to their own experience.

This is a simple story in which the narrative is carried partly by the striking illustrations. The text is kept simple for beginning readers and the children will want to know whether Owl succeeds.
