An initial 5-minute timed assessment to gauge existing Place Value understanding [PowerPoint Slide 2]
Each student will need a copy of the Skill Drill Record Sheet [see below, to be printed] to record their score and ongoing personal bests.

Rehearsal of reading and writing numbers to 100,000. Timed: 5mins [PowerPoint Slide 2]

Are students struggling once they’ve begun?
Can you quickly deal with a small number of students one-to-one, while the remainder complete the task?
