Why Stick with Hamilton?

By Ruth Merttens - 28 Sep 2018

In today’s climate, many schools are using a mixture of compatible resources in teaching maths as opposed to the ‘single maths scheme’ often preferred in previous times. Given this more ‘mix-and-match’ approach, it might be tempting to leave Hamilton as one abandons the maths scheme.

But hang on for a second! There are three good reasons for renewing a Hamilton subscription that have nothing to do with the weekly maths plans.

  • Hamilton is SO much more than maths – indeed, maths accounts for only a quarter of what is on offer. There is a stunning range of materials in English, topics and science. Whether you want to conduct an experiment on magnetism, teach expanded noun phrases or produce stunning Roman mosaics, Hamilton has the materials and all the resources to help you do this.
  • English Blocks – as far as we know, we are the only folk offering blocks of English teaching and resources, which not only include all you need including PowerPoint presentations for the teaching of SPaG but also link this in creative ways to higher level comprehension skills and extended writing. There are an increasing number of blocks available for all year groups, covering a wide range of genres.
  • Mix and match maths blocks specifically designed for use with an NCETM or White Rose approach and materials. They have all the elements you need from PowerPoint presentations for teaching the lesson to Extra Support sessions for the children who are struggling.

Hamilton is a charity. Its aim is and has always been to SAVE YOUR SUNDAYS!

I have used other materials from other websites, Hamilton makes lesson planning a lot easier. I am so grateful for all your materials.
