Who can do what?

Hamilton's NEW maths assessments

How good is my class at understanding place value?
Which children can’t choose a sensible strategy for mental multiplication?
How many can place decimal numbers or fractions on a number line?

number line

If you want to know where each child is on any maths topic, and also have evidence of their progress, the new Hamilton Assessments are just what you need! Easily searchable by skill, each one takes a group of closely related skills and provides a set of assessment tasks, very much in the style of those faced by children on the SATs. Each ‘paper’ consists of between 30- and 45-minutes work; some are shorter.

Have a look at these tasters and then find all you need for your class this autumn.
As usual Hamilton includes all year groups, including some mixed age.

Search by skill by looking at the year group and then the maths topic. Each assessment covers the whole block, but you can of course, easily prune to just specific skills as required.
