If you are having trouble opening the arrows at the right side of your Hamilton blocks, read on. Older browsers, including IE and some versions of Safari, are struggling to keep up with modern websites and may not be suitable for use with our website.
Internet Explorer has recently made changes, and it no longer works on parts of Hamilton's website. Other older versions of internet browsers, including some versions of Safari are also unable to open parts of our planning. Please read on to find out how to switch your browser to continue to access all of Hamilton's planning.
From 22 May 2019, when Hamilton will completely update all of its webpages, there will be many more parts of the site that IE and other older browser versions will no longer be able to run. Like other internet providers, we can no longer programme our website to work on IE or other older versions of browsers. Modern versions of web browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge are faster and safer, and our website has been tested to work on all of those.
Edge comes already installed on Windows 10 computers. To use this, click on the Windows icon in the bottom left corner of your screen. You should see a list of applications sorted alphabetically. Look through the list and under 'M' you should see Microsoft Edge. Click on Edge to open it.
Firefox is a free browser provided by Mozilla that can be used on Windows or Mac computers. To download this, visit https://www.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/ and click on the green 'Download Now' button. Follow the instructions to install it. It should open automatically.
Chrome is a free browser provided by Google that can be used on Windows or Mac computers. To download this, visit https://www.google.co.uk/chrome/ and click on the blue 'Download Chrome' button. Follow the instructions to install it. It should open automatically.
Safari comes already installed on Mac computers. To use this, click on the 'Applications' tab in the bottom right corner and find the Safari app. Click on Safari to open it. (Please note that older versions have some similar problems as IE does. If you are having problems using Safari, try updating to a more recent version.)
There are a number of other browsers available, such as Opera, Pale Moon, Vivaldi, Tor etc. Hamilton do not recommend any specific browser, but we have only tested our website in Edge, Chrome, Firefox and Safari and so are unable to guarantee that the site will display correctly in any others. You can try accessing our site on any of them, but if you have difficulties, check one of the tested sites to see if you problem is browser-related.
