PSHE and Citizenship

  • Rules for, and ways of, keeping safe, including basic road safety.

Lesson Planning

Organise a 'Wheels Day' and consider how different wheeled vehicles work and how to keep safe on them.

Children will:

  • Think about keeping safe whilst on their bicycles.
  • Learn some road safety rules.

Provided Resources

This session does not need any provided resources.

You Will Need

  • Children’s bikes and scooters
  • Cones, bean bags, skipping ropes to create a circuit around playground
  • Chalk for road markings
  • Role-play resources for road safety such as road crossing patrol/police uniforms
