**Day 1**

Ask a Y1 child to drag 10p and 1p coins to make given amounts. Ask Y2 children to add and subtract multiples of 1p and 10p, recognising the place value of the digit that changes.**Group Activities: T with Y1 or Y2**

Y1 -- Use nine 10p coins and nine 1p coins to make three different amounts of money.

Y2 -- Add/ subtract tens; calculate what other pairs have added/subtracted. Some children play a game to add/subtract multiples of 1p **and** 10p.

**Day 2**Compare pairs of 2-digit numbers, using place value; order three 2-digit numbers.

**Further Teaching with Y2**

Compare pairs of numbers using > and <, mark on landmarked lines.

**Group Activities: T with Y2**

Y1 -- Compare two numbers, write one in between. Some children write trios of numbers in ascending order.

Y2 -- Compare two 2-digit numbers, using symbols to correctly write inequalities. Other children reason about a ‘mystery’ number marked on a landmarked line.
