  1. 1. Tell children The Three Little Pigs, emphasising the repetitive language, ‘I’ll huff, and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house down!’ etc. Ask chn to join in with the parts that they know.

  2. Reread Goldilocks, then discuss what might have happened if Goldilocks did not run away. Do children think she would go in another house uninvited?
  3. Display & read Goldilocks (Group Reader). What do children think of this version? Reread it… Can children read along with you?
  4. Read Goldilocks and Just the One Bear, enjoying the humour or another alternative version. Share the bears’ thank you letter now that Goldilocks has made amends.
