The Bunny Lady 

This is a simple non-fiction text about Beatrix Potter and is centred around her creation of the Peter Rabbit stories. Children can follow key points of her life, supported by the charming illustrations, and understand how she came to write these magical tales!

This story uses repetition and humour to create a text in which imagination runs riot and surreal situations, of the sort which children particularly like, abound. As they are just starting reading, this highly accessible text is as much fun for children as many with more complex but less creative language.
