A song of Toad

This is a beautifully illustrated version of Kenneth Grahame’s timeless poem. Children will laugh and also find the text – which is split into several pages per verse – slightly easier to read, especially along side the sound file provided to accompany the poem.

Three Wise Men and a Star

This text explores the journey through the desert of one of the wise men from the Bible story as they follow a remarkable star to Bethlehem. The story follows Masood, a boy helping one of the wise men, and this combined with the wonderfully descriptive illustrations will draw children in to this fantastic tale.

Frosty Rhymes

This is a collection of simple, traditional verses, all on the theme of a cold, cold winter! The charming illustrations will draw children in to the patterns and rhymes that have ensured these accessible tales have stood the test of time.

What are Monsters Like?

This text uses simple rhyming couplets to create a simple text which children can engage with. The repeated pattern and colourful illustrations will encourage children to identify rhymes and comparisons and to develop their own ideas too.

I Hate Football

This text helps engage children through the use of a familiar topic and humour as they explore the many games they could play – and football! The repetition in the structure will support children who are now reading independently.
