This exciting adventure story is a truly captivating read and is quickly becoming a modern classic.

Try a graphic novel - When Stars are Scattered by Victoria Jamieson (Y5/6 mixed age plans)
This amazing graphic novel tells the true story of Omar Mohamed’s childhood in Dadaab, a refugee camp in Kenya. Follow the story of Omar and his brother Hassan as they go about daily life in the camp, trying to find a way forward to a brighter future. This poignant story sensitively covers themes of equality, disability, the power of education and above all, hope.

Enjoy a stunning picture book - The Wolf’s Secret by Myriam Dahman & Nicolas Digard (Y3/4 mixed age plans)
Deep in a forgotten forest, a wolf is captivated by a young woman’s singing. When she stops after the death of her father, he follows the magic to find a way to hear her sing again. She is comforted by his stories and once his secret is shared, they live happily alongside one another. A beautiful fairy-tale style story about grief, friendship and nature.
