Become a PyGirls volunteer: teach Python to girls aged 12-19

By Hamilton Brookes - 12 Aug 2024

PyGirls is an initiative which provides free Python classes in English and German for young girls. The programme is aimed at girls aged 12-19 who want to develop their coding skills. Crucially, it allows girls to have great experiences with technology surrounded by other girls doing the same thing - reimagining stereotypes and building confidence in young girls in STEM.

Opportunities for employees

Hamilton Brookes are proud social impact partners with PyGirls. The initiative works with corporate companies like Google and Zurich to deliver a volunteering opportunity to employees, where they can expand their technical skills in Python & coaching/training skills.

Teachers in the Hamilton Brookes network can also become volunteer trainers, helping to empower girls to excel in a technology-driven world.

Other social impact partners like Bromley High School, WomenInTech and ZIS assist PyGirls in providing free educational courses in Python for young girls.
