Objectives

Art and Design

  • Use drawing, painting and sculpture to develop and share their ideas, experiences and imagination.

Lesson Planning

Choose one of the suggested activities, or set up a carousel of all of the activities designed to help children understand what sterotypes are and why they are problematic.

Children will:

  • Understand the term ‘stereotype’.
  • Describe how boys and girls can be the same/different.
  • Begin to express opinions about stereotyping.

You Will Need

  • Boy/girl templates
  • Dressing up clothes for a range of jobs, e.g. doctor, bus driver or pilot.
