Objectives

Art and Design

  • Use a range of materials creatively to design and make products.
  • Use drawing, painting and sculpture to develop and share their ideas, experiences and imagination.

  • Participate in discussions, presentations, performances, role play, improvisations and debate.
  • Articulate and justify answers, arguments and opinions give well-structured descriptions, explanations and narratives for different purposes including for expressing feelings.

Music

  • Use their voices expressively and creatively by singing songs and speaking chants and rhymes.

Lesson Planning

Set up a carousel of activities for an afternoon of learning about what a role model is and what the personal qualities are that make a one.

Children will:

  • Understand the term ‘role model’.
  • Talk about your role models and the impact they have had on your life.
  • Write a dream for the future.
