Maths

  • Sequence events in chronological order using language.
  • Recognise and use language relating to dates, including days of the week, weeks, months, years.
  • Interpret and construct simple pictograms, tally charts, block diagrams and simple tables.
  • Ask and answer simple questions by counting the number of objects in each category: sorting the categories by quantity.
  • Ask and answer questions about totalling and comparing categorical data.

How did you come to school today?

Children will:

  • Begin to think about grouping data to assemble a pictogram.
  • Begin to use vocabulary of comparison: greater than/less than.
  • Say the days of the week in correct sequential order.

  • A1 paper pictograph prepared with 10cm grid
