Lesson Planning

Discover the buildings of Venturi and Scott-Brown and explore the buildings they designed. Learn about their approach to architectural design and create your own location-sensitive architectural design.

  • To draw the façade/elevation of a new school building.
  • To measure the area of rooms on a plan by counting squares.
  • To draw plan of their classroom
  • To design and draw a plan and elevation for an additional building to their school grounds.

  • Draw a plan of a room in their school.
  • Design a new building for the school using Venturi and Scott-Brown’s approach to architecture.
  • Work out the area of a room in their school and in their designed building by counting squares.
  • Draw a plan and elevation drawing of their proposed design.
