Lesson Planning

You have been challenged to set up your own database of top footballer performers to help create your own fantasy football team.

Teaching Outcomes:

  • To look at the form a database takes and identify its key purposes and create a database using 2Investigate Online or Softease software.
  • To identify key data fields for a database from scrutinising tables of information.

Children will:

  • Explore a sports database and identify how it differs from a spreadsheets.
  • Explore online data tables and suggest key data fields for a database based on this.
  • Create their own database using 2Investigate Online or Softease.
