Lesson Planning

Use your advanced search skills to identify a range of reliable sites on a UK area and edit a related Wikipedia webpage, adding in some of your own researched information.

  • To research and identify reliable pieces of human or physical geographic information.
  • To use plain English, accurate spellings and punctuation for an online contribution.

Children will:

  • Use advanced search processes to find specific and reliable info about the human or physical geography of a UK city, county or region.
  • Check and add to a Wikipedia page by checking against reliable sources of info.
  • Identify and add reliable geographic info to a ‘regional’ Wikipedia page.
  • Update a Wikipedia entry using plain English as well as accurate spellings and punctuation.
