Explain and discuss their understanding of what they have read, including through formal presentations and debates, maintaining a focus on the topic and using notes where necessary.
Provide reasoned justifications for their views.

Lesson Planning

Invite another class, the whole school or even parents and governors to see your museum, and hold a debate on who should own the marbles.

Teaching Outcomes:

To use their historical knowledge to back up arguments in a debate
To take part in a debate about whether the British Museum's Marbles should be returned to Greece.
