Primary Cross-curricular Topics

Welcome to the Topic planning area of our site! Here you will find a wide selection of Topics with resources for each of the age ranges Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2), Lower Key Stage 2 (Years 3 and 4) and Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 and 6).

Click on View KS1, LKS2 or UKS2 to see which Topics are available for your chosen age range and a short description of each Topic. Each Topic has an Overview document, a list of Objectives covered and the resources you will need to collect for each session.

Some Literacy Units have been written to teach alongside particular Topics. They can be found here alongside the relevant Theme and under the mixed age range years in the Literacy area. The Topic Theme Chart shows how they link in with the overall planning.

Friends of Hamilton have access to all the materials for their chosen age range and School Subscription members have access to all the materials on our site. Some sample Topics are available for registered users of Hamilton Trust to trial.

04a: Reaching Boiling Point

05: Letting Off Steam
