Using our template, make a timeline of when the major football tournaments were started, and some of the other major events in the history of football tournaments. Make a class calendar to keep track of when major tournaments are played.

• To create a timeline of football tournament history.
• To find out dates and events from non-fiction resources.

Children will:

• Retrieve relevant information from non-fiction.
• Put events into chronological order.
• Discuss why historical events happened in a particular order.
