Evaluate the stability of Tudor buildings by creating 3D models, 2D collages and labelled diagrams and making wattle and daub.

Teaching Outcomes
To learn about the differences and similarities between modern buildings and those built in the 16th and 17th centuries; To learn the different monarchs and their chronological order along a time line.
To select and use from a range of equipment and materials in order to create models and other representations of Tudor buildings.

Children will:

• Know how building methods and materials have changed over time.
• Experience some of the historical practical skills involved in historical building practices.
• Select from a range of materials (including recycled materials and textiles), fastening techniques and tools and use to create 2D and 3D representations.
• Build and explore how to make their structures stronger, stiffer and more stable.
