Lesson Planning

Day 1
Revise reducing fractions to their simplest form.

Timed: 5mins. [PowerPoint Slide 2]

Each student will need their copy of the Skill Drill Record Sheet [see below, to be printed for any new students/ lost sheets].

Do students need a reminder before you start or struggle once they’ve begun? Revisit the fraction wall from last time [See today’s PowerPoint Slide 15].

Day 2
Practise using a fraction wall to aid sorting fractions according to their size. [PowerPoint Slide 2] Timed: 5mins
