We have fifteen super UKS2 topics to choose from:

Britain since World War 2
We celebrate the diversity of people who make Britain, our country. Then we study changes in the media world of newspapers, radio, TV & cinema & in the technology we use in our everyday lives before we look at recent environmental changes.

Countries and Cultures: Spain
Through art & maps study the history of Spain from the siege of Granada, its days as a superpower, the voyages of Columbus, the Civil War & restoration of the Monarchy. Study art & architecture through Gaudi & Miró & the Islamic influences on art & food.

The Americas
Take a tour of The Americas through time! First find out about the Native Americans in North America then visit Mesoamerica to meet the Mayas & Aztecs. Travel to South America & explore the Inca civilisation before returning to the Civil War in the North.

Africa
Children's Rights & the Millenium Development Goals are studied in relation to Africa & the UK. Health, water, food & trade, Mandela, African art, history & geography are all covered & support to link with an African school is given. Gain your ISA!

Countries & Cultures: France
Use maps to discover how Paris has changed over the years. Investigate key places, buildings, districts & famous people. Investigate the Paris Expo, Eiffel Tower, Art Nouveau & Paris culture! Meet ‘Madeline’ & through her adventures explore Paris today.

Thrills & Spills
Enjoy thrills & spills by investigating the fun of the fair and building a fairground ride controlled by ICT. Research Theme Parks & design your own. Look at extreme sports which is how some folk get their thrills! Includes music & art blocks.

Olympics UKS2
This exciting Topic looks at the Ancient Olympic Games before describing how the modern Olympics (summer and winter) was started & the ideals involved. In Theme 3 chn investigate China & the venue of Beijing before looking at famous Olympians in theme 4.

Australia
Look at the continent & country of Australia now, & then travel back to Cook’s discovery of the ‘empty land’ & the convicts who were sent there. Explore the culture of the Aborigines (the first Australians) & investigate the flora & fauna of the country.

Victorians
Study Victoria - her life, family, portraits & homes. Major inventions lead into the daily life of Victoria’s subjects. Workhouses & child labour are studied thru fiction. Use census data, maps, buildings & the advent of railways to develop local history. Latest resource addition!! World War II

Keen to be Green
Using Geog, Sci, Eng, ICT & D&T chn investigate major world concerns of global warming & climate change before thinking about green issues & Eco-footprints. Use the WEEE Man sculpture as a stimulus for exciting D&T. Try the Good Life and consider food miles, then become Planet Protectors by recycling & spreading the green message!

Cool Stuff
Cool science, art, D&T and ICT!  Children investigate gadgets for the hi-tech home and improve their street cred using graffiti & skateboards!  Ipods®, drums & guitars help explain sound vibrations and finally as spies they have the latest electrical gadgets!

Water Worlds - Rivers, Coasts and Seas
Water, Water Everywhere in this topic!  Chn journey down the 'Wild Rivers' in Theme 1 & then study 'Rivers & People' that live alongside them.
